We currently have a need for a Project Manager to work closely with Senior Managers to define critical path and deliverables to ensure successful client migrations and overall program execution. Global Financial Services experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Project manager dedicated to providing support to the bank's client connectivity technology infrastructure
- Minimizes client intervention by seamlessly moving client traffic between Data Centers, e.g., during Data Centre rotations, maintenance, and outages
- Stronger resiliency, security and simplified operating environment
- Migrating clients from legacy environments including
- File transfer
- Messaging
- System access
- Implementing a unified repository to provide a complete view of all Extranet services consumed by bank clients, additionally this enables clear and timely impact assessment during incidents and changes
- Increasing operational support, security, and resiliency capability through enhanced instrumentation across network and application-layer, encryption, and traffic separation on all extranet connections
- Decommissioning legacy client connections no longer in use or required
- Post cutover support for clients and Bank personnel for all transitions
- Decommissioning of legacy client connectivity infrastructure
- Project activities will consist of continuation of the following:
- Requirements Gathering
- Client Interviews, Letters of Authorization
- Technical Design Reviews and acceptance
- Circuit & Facilities Ordering Process
- Production Services Establishment
- Client Infrastructure Activity Implementation
- Infrastructure Implementation including network activity, MQ Messaging Activity, File Transfer Activity, etc.
- Primary Service Activation, Migration, Application Testing
- Secondary Service Activation, Migration, Application Testing, Failover Testing
- Production Turnover\and implementation of Production support
- Client onboarding/offboarding
- Run the Bank
- Create, and secure appropriate signoff for, all network deliverables produced or updated during the project
- Comply with all client standard network practices while implementing this project
- Attend weekly project status meetings and provide accurate and timely status updates to the Project Management Team
- Certify steady-state and failover operation of all networking systems introduced on the production network during the project
- Turn-over all documentation created or updated during this project to BNYM
- Create, and secure appropriate signoff for, all network deliverables produced or updated during the project
Skills required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field desired
- 5 to 10 years Project Management experience
- PMP or equivalent certifications desired
- Proven experience as a Sr. Project Manager (self-starter)
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Strong soft skills – verbal, written, collaboration and team building
- Highly analytical and focused, with keen insight into human behavior and motivational forces
- Problem solver with the initiative to think critically to identify improvement opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to organize and execute on details, while keeping the big picture in sight
- Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in multiple, concurrent projects
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and as a Leader
- MS Office experience including MS Project and Clarity Project Management tool
- History of deep technical experience utilizing network latency management solutions
- Previous experience managing Cisco Network Engineering projects
- Familiarity with Cloud based technologies. Managing new implementations and builds a plus
- Proficient in routing protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, Multicast, IP CEF
- Through understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, including stack and driver protocol optimizations and their interaction with the network
- Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation
Physical Demands:
- Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

Below is the pay range of this position for considered candidates based on qualifications and experience.
Pay Range
$120,000 - $140,000 USD
