Job Title: Senior Engineer – MES
Location: Telok Panglima Garang (FIZ), Kuala Langat, Selangor, Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (on client’s direct payroll)

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior MES Engineer to join our client’s team in Telok Panglima Garang (FIZ), Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in MES development, system integration, and application performance optimization, particularly within semiconductor or manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document client requirements for MES systems via interviews and documentation reviews.

• Translate business needs into functional software features and application specifications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful MES deployment and integration with ERP and other enterprise systems.

• Design and develop application prototypes and high-quality source code within project timelines.

• Configure and manage IIS settings including application pools, websites, and virtual directories.

• Optimize and monitor database performance; perform tuning and advanced SQL query optimizations.

• Conduct unit, integration, functional, and non-functional testing to ensure reliability and robustness.

• Troubleshoot and debug software and MES performance issues.

• Evaluate existing applications to reprogram or enhance functionality.

• Create and maintain technical documentation and end-user handbooks.

• Integrate MES solutions with third-party applications and services.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing teams using MES systems.

• Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to application scalability.

• Take ownership of tasks and contribute to ad-hoc technical projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in MES-related development, preferably in semiconductor or manufacturing sectors.

• Proficient in VB6, C#, Python, and .NET framework.

• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) including workflow automation and real-time data collection.

• Hands-on expertise in SQL and database performance tuning.

• In-depth experience with Internet Information Services (IIS) configuration and optimization.

• Solid foundation in software development principles, web technologies, and client-server applications.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

• Willingness to work full-time onsite at the client location in Telok Panglima Garang (FIZ), Selangor.
