What is the role
As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end billing function, including the accurate setup and maintenance of customer records, agreements, and invoicing in line with company standards. This role involves collaboration with internal teams to ensure efficient processes, compliance with policies, and timely communication with stakeholders. You will also assist in streamlining the billing workflows and generating reports for management.
The following include but may not be limited to the responsibilities of the Billing Specialist:
- Proven experience in processing and issuing accurate invoices in line with company policies and client agreements
- Strong ability to reconcile billing data and ensure timely payment processing
- Experience supporting multi-region billing operations (e.g., New Zealand, Australia, Philippines)
- Skilled in managing customer accounts and agreements, including setup, updates, and terminations using billing systems such as ConnectWise or Reckon
- Capable of generating monthly and ad hoc invoices, credit notes, and handling billing inquiries and discrepancies
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining contracts for products, services, and solutions (excluding SaaS)
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, finance, and customer service teams
- Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities
- Strong analytical skills for generating and reviewing billing reports to detect errors or trends
- Willingness to provide administrative support, assist with onboarding, and contribute to general office tasks as needed
- Knowledge of billing compliance standards and commitment to maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all billing activities
Work Set-up / Work Schedule
- Remote
- 6 AM – 3 PM (PH time)
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate has experience in an MSP environment and excels in the following areas:
- Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable
- Proven experience in international billing operations
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Strong understanding of billing, invoicing, and reconciliation processes
- Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Comfortable working with people from different backgrounds and locations
