About the Role

FWD Group's Digital Platform is at the forefront of leveraging next-generation technologies to shape the future of insurance across Asia. As a key partner in this journey, Aptude is hiring a Senior Manager – GenAI Developer to be deployed at our client location in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this strategic leadership role, you will lead GenAI development initiatives and manage a talented team focused on delivering innovative AI-powered solutions across domains like Customer, Distribution, and Operations. This role is ideal for tech leaders who are passionate about Generative AI, thrive in collaborative environments, and seek to drive meaningful change using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor a team of GenAI developers across projects and geographies.

• Partner with technology and product stakeholders to define GenAI strategies aligned with business goals.

• Champion the adoption of emerging technologies such as LLMs, RAG frameworks, and multimodal AI across initiatives.

Development & Delivery

• Oversee end-to-end development of GenAI applications—from design to deployment—ensuring scalability, performance, and reusability.

• Translate business needs into robust technical specifications and high-quality code artifacts.

• Drive the implementation of automation pipelines to ensure scalable enterprise GenAI deployments.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Design Teams, Business Units, and IT to deliver impactful, user-centric solutions.

• Foster effective cross-functional communication between project managers, finance, customer service, and external vendors.

Innovation & Technical Excellence

• Stay current with the latest trends in AI/ML and GenAI, proactively exploring new tools and frameworks.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and establish technical best practices across teams.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure strict adherence to QA standards, security, and coding best practices.

• Monitor KPIs to track project health and business impact.

• Document lessons learned and implement continuous improvement frameworks.

Key Performance Indicators

• Timely and quality delivery of GenAI projects.

• Relevance and business impact of GenAI technologies adopted.

• Team productivity and collaboration effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5–8 years of full-stack software development experience.

• Proven track record of successfully implementing GenAI solutions at the enterprise level.

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, and related AI/ML technologies.

• Strong backend experience with Python and JavaScript.

• Hands-on experience with frontend technologies (React, Angular, etc.).

• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, IAM, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

• Familiarity with containerization, orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and service mesh.

• Exposure to mobile technologies (Android, iOS – Swift/Objective-C) is a plus.
