Job Title: Project Functional Business Analyst – Planning Data Enablement
Work Location: Client Site – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Employment Type: On-rolls with Aptude- New Era (12 months contract)
Experience Required: Min 8 Years
Nationality: Open to all nationals based in Malaysia only

Job Summary

The Project Functional Business Analyst – Planning Data Enablement is responsible for delivering the planning configuration and data structures required to support the onboarding of new manufacturing sites as part of clients global expansion initiative. This role focuses on define and configure Planning configuration to ensure each new site can operate in alignment with global supply and production planning processes.

Working as part of a cross-functional project team, the analyst will coordinate, structure, and validate data definitions to enable accurate, system-ready planning master data and integration into enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

Planning Data Definition & Process Mapping

  • Collaborate with Planning and supply chain teams to define key Planning parameters, including – safety stock, supplier capacity, item attributes, sourcing rules, bill of distribution, production routings, calendars, shift patterns, and lead times.
  • Document site-specific planning parameter and scheduling constraints to support system integration and accurate planning behaviour.
  • Translate process knowledge into structured data definitions and planning parameters for Oracle ERP and o9 planning tool enablement.

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering

  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with global and local teams to gather inputs on site planning assumptions and operational capabilities.
  • Work closely with regional planning teams to align on standardisation vs localisation of planning data.
  • Maintain traceable documentations for all planning data requirements and configuration inputs.

System Readiness & Deployment Support

  • Support the preparation and validation of planning-related master data for loading into Oracle ERP and o9 planning systems.
  • Assist in mapping and cleansing activities for sourcing rules, item attributes, production routings, BOMs & etc.
  • Participate in testing cycles by validating that planning rules and parameters produce the expected behaviour in the integrated system.

Change Management & Transition Support

  • Contribute to the development of training materials and reference documentation for site planning teams.
  • Support handover of planning data ownership to site and global teams post-go live.
  • Capture lessons learned and recommended improvements to the site onboarding framework for future deployments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst in supply chain, production planning, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in defining or managing planning master data such as item related setup, sourcing rules, supplier capacity, component lead time, routings, and calendars.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing planning processes including work order management & execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders across operations, planning, and master data functions.
  • Familiarity with o9 Planning system and Oracle ERP systems and how planning data is structured and used within them.
  • Fast learner with proactive mindset, strong communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in multi-site or greenfield manufacturing system implementations or planning capability rollouts.
  • Background in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality practices.
  • Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is advantageous.
