SUMMARY: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) shall be responsible for but not limited to the following:
HIERARCHY: The Human Resources Business Partner reports directly to the Director of Human Resources who reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer who reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Human Resources Business Partner shall be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Serve as a trusted partner to managers and employees across union and non-union populations, supporting approximately 1,500 employees across multiple sites.
- Provide expert guidance and counsel to leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and employee relations matters.
- Collaborate with management to design and implement workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategy initiatives aligned with business unit goals.
- Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, absenteeism, ER case trends) and provide actionable insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Conduct Exit Interviews, prepare trend analyses, and deliver findings with recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with management to identify HR solutions that support organizational growth, culture, and employee engagement.
- Ensure consistency and compliance in policies and practices across all business units and sites.
- Design and deliver HR-related training programs, including leave management, leadership development, and performance management.
- Provide coaching and career development support to employees and managers.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and management to manage sensitive employee relations and potential litigation matters.
- Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations best practices and develop training to enhance supervisory effectiveness.
- Lead new hire orientation to ensure a positive onboarding experience and understanding of company culture, policies, and benefits.
- Support HR Generalists on escalated employee inquiries and complex cases.
- Conduct surveys, focus groups, and research to evaluate HR policies and programs, recommending improvements as appropriate.
- Provide guidance and support on complex leave management cases, including ADA accommodations, FMLA, and overlapping state or federal leave requirements; partner with managers, employees, and legal as needed to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to employee relations cases, including investigations, performance actions, and lifecycle events
- Drive performance management processes across assigned business units, ensuring accountability and consistency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Advanced skills in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proven ability to leverage data in decision-making.
- Effective communicator, both oral and written, with strong presentation skills.
- Self-directed, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities across diverse sites.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Six years of professional human resource administration, including four years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remote
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, required work hours may vary depending on business needs. Overtime is possible.
TRAVEL: 10% travel may be required.

Pay Range
$75,000 - $100,000 USD
