Background
support the mission of firmwide investment management transformation, PNB Project team is
currently undertaking a few IT-related projects such as onboarding a new Investment
Management Core System (ICMS), Investment Data Warehouse (IDW) systems, and others.
As part of the transition, PNB is migrating data from its legacy systems into its new systems.
To assist with this initiative, PNB Project team is currently searching for a Junior Data
Migration Specialist to be housed within the project team to work with stakeholders to ensure
the completeness, accuracy and integrity of migrated data.
The Junior Data Migration Specialist will be responsible for collecting, finalising and
prioritising with PNB users of legacy systems on their business requirements for the legacy
data. Additionally, any discrepancies and issues need to be identified and addressed in a
timely manner to the decommissioning deadline of the legacy systems. The specialist will also
ensure the migrated data is usable for PNB users in the new system.
1. Assist in the data extraction and data verification activity to ensure completeness and
accuracy of migrated data.
2. Design and implement structured workflows, including task delegation and tracking
tools to improve team efficiency.
3. Coordinate and negotiate with PNB users to resolve data issues encountered during
data extraction and user requirements for data migration and reports.
4. Document the data extraction requirements for the implementation of Robotic Process
Automation (RPA) and assist the RPA developer in development efforts.
5. Track and update progress of activities within weekly meetings and ad hoc progress
requests to ensure progress is on-track.
6. Support the upgrade, transition and validation of data to the data platform providing
usable historical data to PNB users.
7. Support in the understanding of historical reports and data when developing data
models, reports or dashboards.
1. Ability to delegate tasks, manage timelines and deliverables.
2. Fundamental knowledge of financial statements and investment processes.
3. Able to program in Python and utilise common Python libraries such as pandas.
4. Strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Products including
Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
5. Must be independent, proactive working attitude, results oriented, and a strong desire
to succeed.
6. Must think on their feet to address these issues swiftly. Their problem-solving
responsibilities involve identifying root causes of issues, implementing corrective
measures to minimize impact and ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
7. Great leadership skills, interpersonal skills, self-motivated and customer focused with
an outgoing personality, and analytical mind.
8. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and
problem-solving capabilities. Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly
and efficiently.
9. Flexible during times of change. Ability to read communication styles of team members
and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
10. Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
Education, Experience and Certifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information
Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering,
Mathematics, Statistics or any degree of similar nature.
2. Minimum 2 years working experience.
3. Experience in legacy investment order management systems is an added advantage.
4. Well-understanding of investment processes and reporting is an advantage.
