Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in MS SQL Server and DB2 to join our global technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise-level databases, with the flexibility and curiosity to learn additional database technologies as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MS SQL Server and DB2 databases.

• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and disaster recovery across multiple database environments.

• Monitor database performance, implement optimization strategies, and troubleshoot issues.

• Manage security, backup, and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and protection.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and optimize database solutions.

• Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Stay updated with emerging database technologies and apply best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on DBA experience across multiple database technologies.

• Strong experience with MS SQL Server and DB2 (administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability).

• Knowledge of database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to learn new database technologies and adapt to evolving requirements.

Good to Have

• Experience with MongoDB and/or MySQL.

• Exposure to cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
