Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager to manage low voltage cable projects for its Campus Transformation division. The Project Manager must have previous experience managing strategic infrastructure projects for new builds, site upgrades and refreshes as well personnel relocations for enterprise scale environments. The manager will be responsible for defining requirements, creating requests for quotes from vendors, participating in vendor selection/award and managing work progress post award with various vendors to project completion/turnover. Strong administrative and computer skills are required -- including Microsoft excel/Microsoft project or Click up.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Ensure appropriate management of all aspects of the Project, Client, and vendor involvement throughout the life of the project.
- Project Management of the design and implementation of challenging telecommunications pathways, spaces, and cable plant projects.
- Creation of passive design implementation packages that include: design, drawings, and, materials.
- Directly manage and coordinate with team members and varying dependent organizations to ensure successful on time completion of passive design implementations.
- Design and prepare the layout of floor plans, riser diagrams, schedules, specification notes, and details with special emphasis on Network and Cable Plant projects.
- Maintain cabling documentation (server and ports, structured cabling paths, switches, ports) Create RFP’s and bid packages for Low Voltage Cable Contractors and IT Design Engineers.
- Manage suppliers/vendors in new builds upgrades throughout the campus.
- Provide detailed status reports to Management on a regular basis.
- Maintain detailed project plan, scope, and associated metrics.
- Produce and submit necessary paperwork and forms for internal approvals (FEMA, RFP’s, PO’s, etc.).
- Document and track Structured Cabling budget along with vendor invoicing for each project
COMPENTENCY: Cable Plant, Low Voltage, Project Management, WorkDay, Excel, O365
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years experience
- PMP or Equivalent Preferred
- RCDD Preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: ONSITE
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:30pm with occasional work on weekends or off hours as dictated by client onsite management. Total shift not to exceed 8 hours of work, 1 hour lunch, two 15 minute breaks.
TRAVEL: Local Commute
