SUMMARY:
New Era Client is looking for a Senior level Network Engineer to perform network readiness analysis, configuration, and deployment for the rollout of Forescout NAC appliances across a multi-site network infrastructure environment. Candidate should have good background in network refresh projects with ability to configure and rack and stack layer 2 switches.
HIERARCHY: N/A
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Configuration of VRFs for different security devices (PHI/PCI/FDIC/IOT/guest/etc.)
- Add L2/L3 configurations to all access/distribution switches across all sites
- L2 configurations scripting
- L3 template configurations and manual configuration and trunking
- Allocation and assignment of IPs/ports as needed for firewall/Forescout /etc.
- Span distribution switch ports Forescout
- Reserve IP addresses in Infoblox
- Trunk VLANs
- Provide and document network inventory
- Update diagrams based on existing templates and ensure accuracy and consistency
- Implement and deploy scalable solutions for both global networks and data centers
- Engineer for network escalations for troubleshooting of incidents
- Optimizing the monitoring and operation procedures and keeping up-to-date the associated procedural documents
- Propose technical advice on the solutions implemented and technical reports
- Involved in the changes, responsible for the versioning follow-up
- Reporting of incidents and ticketing
- Identify, research, evaluate and implement emerging network technologies
COMPENTENCY: CCNA Required
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Senior (7+ Years in role)
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May require long periods of sitting or standing and occasional lifting of objects less than 25 pounds.
- Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: On-site
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:30pm with occasional work on weekends or off hours as dictated by client onsite management. Total shift not to exceed 8 hours of work, 1 hour lunch, two 15 minute breaks.
