We are looking for a Technical Project Manager - (Onsite).

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
Employment Type: Contract (12 Months)
Work Mode: Onsite

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to drive strategic technology and transformation initiatives within the Insurance domain. The role involves managing enterprise-level projects across the full lifecycle while ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance standards, and regulatory requirements such as Bank Negara Malaysia Risk Management in Technology (RMiT).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, change management, and closure.
• Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, budgets, dependencies, and expected business outcomes.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and communication, including reporting to senior leadership and steering committees.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with PMO governance frameworks and RMiT regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across business and technology stakeholders.
• Track project progress and manage risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Manage vendors, internal teams, and delivery partners to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably managing projects for Insurance companies or Banks.
• Technical competencies in Cloud, Integration, Frontend, and Backend systems.
• Experience delivering at least 3 full lifecycle system implementations.
• Experience managing a team.
• Strong understanding of Bank Negara Malaysia Risk Management in Technology (RMiT) framework.
• PMP Certification – Highly Preferred.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
