We are hiring for Manufacturing APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) Engineer Analyst for an exciting client opportunity in Penang.
Job Type: 12-Month Contract (Extendable with Client)
Location: Penang
Work Mode: Hybrid (50% Office / 50% Work from Home)
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and manufacturing requirements and convert them into IT/OT functional specifications
- Support implementation, configuration, and enhancement of APS systems for manufacturing operations
- Manage planning and scheduling models including capacity planning, sequencing, constraints, tools, and resources
- Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, and supply chain teams to align system logic with business needs
- Prepare functional/design specifications, test cases, and perform system validation
- Provide L2 support for APS and related IT/OT systems
- Support integrations with MES, ERP, and manufacturing platforms
- Conduct user training and develop training materials
- Drive process improvement initiatives such as Lean, Productivity Improvement, and KAIZEN
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- 4–5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle Database (Mandatory)
- Good understanding of planning & scheduling concepts such as capacity planning, finite scheduling, and constraint-based planning
- Experience with APS tools preferred (FPS by INFICON is an added advantage)
- Exposure to MES / Manufacturing Systems / Planning System projects preferred
- Strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and team collaboration abilities
