Title: Senior Network Engineer
Job Location: 901 S. Bolmar Street, West Chester, PA 19382 and various unanticipated worksites in U.S.
Travel: Up to 50% domestic and international travel required, within North and South America.
Responsibilities
Assist with the design, planning, and implementation of LAN – WAN and VoIP concepts. Facilitate for all internal IT-related deployments within various sales and engineering offices throughout the Americas Theater. Maintain, support, develop, and design communications networks within New Era Technology offices. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades. Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Successfully deliver internal IT projects in a global managed services environment. Represent the client’s Information and Communications Technology department during the implementation of intelligent network projects. Communicate and report effectively on project status to the client and internal stakeholders. Stage, test, and implement the latest Cisco technologies. Participate in changes and incident management of the Global Services Implementation environment. Roving employment. Duties may be located at client sites throughout U.S. Telecommuting from home office may be available per company policy.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher (or foreign educational equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field or equivalent based on a combination of education and/or experience. In addition to degree (or degree equivalent), must have at least 10 years of hands-on network engineering with implementations or operations experience, with emphasis on enterprise LAN and WAN infrastructure. Within this, must have at least 5 years of experience in each of the following: leadership experience in an IT or network engineering role; hands-on Layer 3 routing experience; hands-on Layer 2 switching experience; TCP/IP stack and EIGRP routing protocols experience; experience with QoS, MPLS, VoIP and Wireless LAN; experience with Cisco IOS configuration and troubleshooting; and experience with Change and Incident management. Must have Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. Must have Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. Must have Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Enterprise Infrastructure certification. Must have Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Design certification.
Total Compensation: $125,000 to $145,000 (depending on qualifications)
