
Sr. Associate, Startup Pipeline
Newlab is seeking a Senior Associate to support the rapid growth of Newlab’s global pipeline of critical technology startups through technical diligence, triage across Newlab’s business units, and analysis. The ideal candidate for this role is broadly technical, a phenomenal communicator/story-teller, and extremely passionate about supporting critical technology founders on their startup journey. This role will be the front door to Newlab for most startups, and will be supporting all other pathways into Newlab’s ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Startup Pipeline Management:
- Assess and manage daily startup inbound for fit with the Newlab platform for hand-off to membership management teams
- Support forward pipeline development for scoped projects, programs, and events with startup sourcing, outreach, and evaluation
- Act as point of contact for deal-flow-based partnerships
- Ensure quality data collection and recording adherence across all startup-focused pipelines
Startup Membership Analytics:
- Validate and enrich internal startup data, algorithms, and AI models
- Regularly collect, assess, and report membership pipeline data
- Track and analyze existing member data to quantify Newlab’s ability to create value for startups
Startup Support:
- Manage and track startup to VC introductions and visits
- Support community, attraction, and strategic startup-centric events
- Assist local membership teams with startup-centric decision making and resourcing
- Design and implement modifications to membership onboarding procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required
- 2-3 years in either an operating or technical role at a high-velocity, critical-technology startup or in an analyst role at a venture firm evaluating deeply technical startups
Compensation
- $85,000 per year
