Office Help
New Leaf Energy is an experienced clean energy developer that partners with landowners, policymakers, and other stakeholders to accelerate the transition to a world powered by renewable energy. We identify high-value sites, work with landowners and local communities to develop them, and partner with long-term asset owners to bring the most impactful clean energy projects to life.
New Leaf Energy is looking for part-time office help one day a week in its new Chicago office. The office is located at 180 North LaSalle.
New Leaf Energy is headquartered in Massachusetts, and all of our offices are overseen by a senior office manager who works out of Lowell, MA. Our Chicago team of about 25 people moved into its new office in May, and we are looking for someone to come into the office for about 4-6 hours on Tuesdays to help out with various office management tasks.
The exact hours on site are flexible, but must include Tuesdays between 11 am and 1 pm.
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Receiving, setting up, and taking the lead in cleaning up the team’s weekly Tuesday office lunch. (Lunch will be provided for you, too!)
- Unpacking any office supply/refreshment orders that have arrived over the week and haven’t yet been put away. Break down the boxes for recycling. Inventory other supplies and prepare a list of what needs to be refreshed, for our senior office manager to order.
- Opening, sorting, and scanning the office mail, following instructions from the senior office manager.
- Reporting any unmet building needs to the senior office manager or building supervisor, as appropriate (burned-out lightbulbs, etc.).
- Working with the IT Systems Manager to test certain office equipment, as needed.
- Keeping the office supplies organized.
- Providing general office help as needed.
The salary for this position is $25 per hour, and we will guarantee a minimum of four hours’ pay each Tuesday. This position will be managed by the senior office manager, who will be responsible for timecard review. Compensation does not include any other benefits.
