Lead International Direct Tax Accountant
Your opportunity
We are seeking a Lead Tax Accountant reporting to the Senior Manager Tax, to join our tax team to support the international tax compliance and reporting function. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills, strong organizational and communication skills, and be detail-oriented and hands-on.
What you'll do
Responsible for compliance reporting for International Direct tax filings (APAC and EMEA), to ensure all reporting obligations are filed accurately and timely
International Direct tax compliances
- Compute book-tax differences; prepare supporting tax return work paper and documentation.
- Coordinate the preparation of income tax returns with outside tax providers for all the international regions.
- Perform 26AS reconciliation with the books, ensuring TDS certificates are collected and maintained.
- Good understanding on the Treaty Benefits, Withholding Tax, Permanent establishment (PE) matter.
- Coordinate with consultant on the preparation of Transfer Pricing Study.
- Compute estimated tax payments accurately and make sure the payments are done on time.
- Gather information and conduct annual R&D study documentation.
- Responsible for SOX tax documentation controls.
- Manage income tax audits and respond to all tax notices and IDR requests. Maintaining tax calendar
- Prepare journal entries for income tax adjustments where necessary.
- Own and manage tax general ledger accounts of respective international regions.,
- Perform tax accounts reconciliation, flux and tax accounts roll forwards for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
- Research tax issues and prepare technical memos and documentation to support our reporting positions
- Participate in tax process optimization, develop and implement procedural changes and/or process to improve tax function.
- Assist in other tax projects
This role requires
- Graduate with minimum 8 years of experience in International Tax compliances and Tax Accounting. CA/MBA preferred, though not mandatory.
- Solid understanding of International Direct tax compliances.
- Self-starter with strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to quickly bridge technical requirements, conceptualize and define workflows and to innovate and enhance processes
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and complete projects in a growing and fast-paced environment
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel, across functions, organizations and with external contacts
- Ability to work independently and attention to details. The individual must have the highest standards of integrity, business controls and practices
- High proficiency in excel, tax research software and tools.

- NetSuite accounting system knowledge/experience is a plus.
