Director, Partner Engineering and Solutions
Your opportunity
As the Director of Partner Engineering and Solutions, you will lead a team of seasoned Partner Architects and Partner Engineers to drive New Relic’s growth strategy through technology partnerships, with an emphasis on agentic AI integrations. Reporting to the VP of Ecosystem and Strategic Partnerships, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization. You’ll be responsible for identifying and validating new technology partnership opportunities, providing high-level technical expertise, ensuring the seamless integration of partner technologies, and fostering strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders. Your deep understanding of technology ecosystems is at the nexus of product, engineering, partners, and GTM teams, where you will facilitate and execute ideation, integration, prototypes, and launches.
What you'll do
- Oversee the development and implementation of technology partnership strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on agentic AI, cloud solutions, and next-gen observability.
- Lead the identification and validation of new strategic technology partnership opportunities and their fit and long-term viability.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical oversight across all team initiatives.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Strategy, Business Development, and Cloud Partnership teams.
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with external partners and industry leaders, leveraging their ecosystems for synergistic collaboration.
- Represent the team to senior management, communicating progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement within the team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in strategy and solution delivery.
- Apply market trend insights, competitive intelligence, and emerging technology knowledge to inform strategic decisions.
This role requires
- 7-10 years of leadership experience in public cloud, enterprise software, technology strategy; experience in agentic AI is a big plus.
- Proven expertise in identifying, assessing, and validating new technology partnership opportunities.
- Deep technical and architectural expertise to guide and effective solutions and evaluations.
- Experience in building tech ecosystems with differentiated partner categories.
- Effective team management of partner architects and partner engineers, based in the US and India.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with partners and internal teams including product, engineering, and partnership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to senior executives.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to develop and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience in agentic AI.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and competitive advantage through strategic partnerships.
- Experience in a company with a strong tech partnership ecosystem.
- Advanced degree in a relevant technical or business field.

The pay range below represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.

Estimated Base Pay Range
$209,000 - $282,000 USD
