About the Role

Are you ready to join a dynamic and innovative team at NewsBreak? As a Marketing Lead on our Monetization Team, you'll have the chance to shape and execute impactful marketing strategies in a role bursting with new opportunities and green space. You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in engineering and product, focusing primarily on product and growth marketing within the NewsBreak Ad Manager. However, the scope of your work will extend across exciting new initiatives within the monetization team, including new revenue streams, supply channels, placements, and more.

In this role, you'll monitor platform metrics, identify marketing opportunities, and implement strategies to positively impact business metrics. Your work will span across advertiser growth, the advertiser product lifecycle, B2B partnerships, and more. Responsibilities

  • Product and Growth Marketing: Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, product adoption, and retention. Collaborate closely with product, sales, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to refine marketing efforts.
  • Community Building: Develop strategies to foster and grow a community of engaged users and advertisers. Create and disseminate high-quality content, including case studies, white papers, blogs, and videos.
  • Campaign Management: Lead the execution of promotional and lifecycle email marketing campaigns to improve advertiser engagement and retention. Innovate with growth hacking and guerrilla marketing strategies to create buzz and attract new advertisers.
  • Market Research and Insights: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends. Use data to inform strategic decisions and optimize campaign performance.
  • Press Releases: Draft, review, and distribute press releases to announce significant company milestones, product launches, and partnerships. Coordinate with media outlets to ensure coverage and amplify the reach of announcements.
  • Partnership Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with synergistic partners across affiliate networks, tracking platforms, agency partners, and more. Leverage these partnerships to enhance marketing efforts and drive growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in ad tech or digital marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proven track record in managing marketing teams and launching successful products.
  • Proficiency with tools like SQL, Amplitude, MODE, and project management software.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media).
  • Exceptional copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Experience with UX principles to enhance user engagement.
  • Ability to build and nurture online communities and manage B2B partnerships.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with NewsBreak Ad Manager or similar ad platforms. 
  • Strong background in onboarding, paid conversion, retention, and referral growth in a similar industry.
  • Understanding of the mechanisms behind virality in content and campaigns.
  • Proven experience in creating and nurturing online communities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options. $125,000 - $175,000 USD
