About the Role

NewsBreak is seeking a Senior Manager, Ad Platform Growth to play a pivotal role in expanding our advertiser base and revenue. This is an elevated, high-impact position building on the foundation established by early stage 0-1 growth initiatives. You will be directly responsible for driving new advertiser acquisition across key verticals including app install/user acquisition, affiliate/performance advertisers, direct e-commerce, and agencies.

As a strategic thinker with a proven track record, you'll be instrumental in forging impactful partnerships, executing high-value events, and delivering measurable revenue growth for NewsBreak's ad platform. 

Responsibilities:

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Drive New Advertiser Revenue: Consistently achieve quarterly targets for new advertiser revenue, directly impacting NewsBreak’s bottom line.
  • Strategic Partnership Management: Identify, establish, and nurture mutually beneficial strategic partnerships that introduce and onboard new advertisers to NewsBreak.
  • Develop Referral Programs: Design and implement effective referral programs with partners to drive consistent, high-quality advertiser leads.
  • Lead Event Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy (including webinars and industry events) from end-to-end, managing content, logistics, vendors, and post-event lead generation.
  • Conduct Market & Category Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of ad categories and market trends, understanding seasonality, and developing category-specific strategies to increase advertiser demand.
  • Drive Content Marketing & Community Engagement: Leverage community platforms like Facebook groups, STMForum, Afflift, and LinkedIn to engage with potential advertisers and build brand presence.
  • Support Sales Enablement: Assist with booking meetings, engineering timelines, and coordinating client engagements to support new advertiser acquisition.
  • Create Case Studies: Collaborate with Account Managers and advertisers to develop compelling success stories and case studies.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Partnership Development: Proven ability to identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Event Management: Expertise in planning, coordinating, and executing successful B2B events and webinars.
  • Marketing & Communication: Strong understanding of email marketing campaigns, social media promotion, and creating impactful marketing collateral.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze market trends, category performance, and campaign data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Sales Acumen: Understanding of the sales funnel and ability to support business development efforts.
  • CRM & Tracking: Proficient in using CRM tools, Google Forms, and implementing UTM tracking for lead generation and measurement.

Experience (Degrees or career milestones):

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in digital advertising, growth marketing, or business development.
  • Proven track record of driving new business and revenue growth in the ad tech or media industry.
  • Direct experience forging and building successful referral partnership programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing successful B2B events (virtual and in-person).
  • Prior experience working with or understanding the needs of app install/user acquisition, affiliate/performance, direct e-commerce, and agency advertisers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred).

What Success Looks Like:

  • First 30 Days: You'll be introduced to our existing partner ecosystem, onboarded to current growth strategies, and begin understanding our B2B relationships.
  • Days 30-60: You'll start taking ownership of existing partnerships, bringing fresh ideas for growth.
  • Days 60-90: You'll have clear plans and progress on our event calendar, be actively building growth strategies by industry/category, and show early signs of growth from your expanding network.

Within your first year, you will be consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly new advertiser revenue targets, having built a robust ecosystem of high-value referral partners and executed impactful event strategies that significantly boost lead generation and brand awareness.
