Location: Remote (USA only — CST hours preferred) with some office travel required
Annual salary: $90,000 - $110,000 USD

The Role

As Nex’s Retail Strategy Manager, you play a pivotal role in analyzing market trends, driving sales performance, optimizing promotions, and refining inventory management strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and deliver on strategic objectives for retail success. Your insights and execution will directly impact Nex Playground's retail performance and contribute to its long-term growth.


You are analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized. You excel at turning data into actionable strategies and thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments. You will report to the Director of Retail Strategy and collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams.

What You Will Own

  1. Market Analysis
    • Conduct thorough market research to understand competitors, opportunities, and challenges.
    • Need: Build a competitive matrix.
  2. Sales Performance Analysis
    • Evaluate sales data to assess product performance across retailers.
    • Need: Review performance metrics for each retail partner and identify actionable improvements.
  3. Promotional Analysis
    • Assess the impact of promotional activities and ensure proper execution.
    • Need: Track retailer websites to validate promo accuracy and effectiveness.
  4. Inventory Management and Forecasting
    • Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and demand trends.
    • Need: Identify risks and opportunities to optimize inventory planning.
  5. Account Coordination
    • Help perform tasks to manage our key retail partner accounts.
    • Need: Learn retailer portals to help facilitate any changes.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Proven experience in retail strategy, market analysis, or sales performance roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with tools like Excel, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in the gaming or tech industry.
  • Familiarity with retail forecasting tools and processes.
  • Understanding of digital promotions and e-commerce analytics.
