What You'll Do

• Manufacturing Partner Management
  
  • Oversee manufacturing partners, their facilities and their upstream supply chain across Mexico and Asia.
  • Drive production planning, on-time delivery, output volume, yield, and quality.
  • Maintain full operational visibility — ensure dependable supply to meet business objectives.
• Cost Ownership & Sourcing Strategy
  • Own product cost at every level — BOM, manufacturing cost, landed cost, margins.
  • Lead cost-down initiatives, supplier negotiations, and sourcing for accessories, components, and future product lines.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage global suppliers, building a supplier network that is resilient, flexible, and cost-effective.
• Operational Excellence & Process Development
  • Build internal processes to match factory operations; translate factory flow into repeatable, scalable SOPs.
  • Drive continuous improvements in throughput, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, sourcing, and logistics teams to support new product launches and growth.
• Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Implement and maintain quality standards across all manufacturing sites (incoming materials, in-process, final inspection, packaging).
  • Oversee compliance (regulatory, safety, export/import), audit readiness, and corrective action processes.
  • Ensure reliability, safety, and consistency across all products.
• Cross-Functional Leadership & Startup Collaboration 
  • Work closely with design, product, supply chain, logistics, and operations teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Help shape strategic decisions about sourcing, manufacturing strategies, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Be a builder: comfortable with ambiguity, rapid change, tight timelines, and hands-on execution.

What You Bring

• 10+ years’ experience in global manufacturing operations or hardware supply chain (consumer electronics or related).
• Proven track record managing contract manufacturers / OEM / ODM / CM partners.
• Experience working with factories in Asia or Latin America (Mexico preferred) and navigating international sourcing/manufacturing complexities.
• Strong skills in cost modeling, BOM analysis, supplier negotiation, and margin optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset — unafraid of ambiguity, able to wear many hats, and comfortable building new systems from scratch.

Preferred

• Experience with high-volume hardware production and scaling operations.
• Background in sourcing for accessories, components, or multiple product SKUs.
• Familiarity with international logistics, compliance, tariffs, and global supply chain risk management.
• Experience working in startup or high-growth company environments.
