The Role

We are seeking a Senior Retail Accounts Manager to join our Retail Strategy team at Nex. As an Accounts Manager, you will help Nex Playground make data-driven decisions to grow our business and brand. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing sales data, inventory volumes, and weekly forecasts. This role will support the Retail team in measuring Nex Playground’s success, identifying and responding to widescale buyer trends, and keeping internal data up to date from various retail partners.  You will partner closely with Supply Chain, Performance Marketing, and Finance to make key spending and supply decisions.

The position requires forward planning, strong communication capabilities, advanced statistical competency, and ability to work cross functionally with teams in multiple time zones.

What You’ll Do

  • Generate reports to summarize key performance indicators and widescale customer trends to identify development opportunities
  • Analyze retail performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine strategies and increase Nex Playground sales.
  • Report sales volume, trends, and results of potential sales expansions and projects
  • Effectively communicate project updates, risks, and timelines to cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Propose, design, and implement process improvements for forecasting and demand files.
  • Deliver regular business performance updates with KPI pacing (eg. sales, returns, inventory positions), along with relevant industry/channel insights.
  • Utilize daily sales data to ensure forecast accuracy across sell-in and sell-through metrics, and maintenance of inventory across Nex Playground’s various retail accounts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in retail strategy, data management, sales forecasting, or related fields, preferably in consumer electronics, gaming, or interactive entertainment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including basic functions (SUM, IF, VLOOKUP), data cleaning, and simple analysis
  • Experience with category management, buyer relations, and retail account management with major retailers.
  • Familiarity with global retail guidelines and execution processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex merchandising projects, balancing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external retail partners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
