Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Develop scalable, maintainable front-end code that adheres to best practices and guidelines.
  • Translate business and user requirements into technical solutions focused on performance, usability, and accessibility.
  • Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing, providing technical mentorship and constructive feedback.
  • Systematically debug and resolve issues in code, supporting colleagues in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Proactively communicate project status, risks, and blockers to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Take ownership of engineering projects, driving them from inception to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Contribute to the evolution of front-end architecture and development processes with data-driven decisions.
  • Design and implement proof-of-concepts to evaluate new tools or approaches, influencing leadership decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to align on solutions and drive consensus.
  • Demonstrate accountability in planning, estimation, and delivery of technical work.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and curiosity across teams.

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 5+ years of front-end development experience with React, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Strong track record building and scaling consumer-facing digital applications, with a focus on performance and quality.
  • Experience with content management systems, digital media platforms, or related domains (sports industry a plus).
  • Solid grasp of front-end architecture, component design, and scalable patterns; bonus if you’ve contributed to design systems or performance tooling.
  • Skilled at delivering well-tested, maintainable code, and balancing short-term delivery with long-term technical health.
  • Comfortable scoping tasks, understanding existing architecture, and estimating effort with accuracy.
  • Proactive and organized: able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communicator, capable of aligning direction with senior leaders, navigating stakeholder conversations, and documenting technical decisions.
  • Collaborative mindset with a history of mentoring junior developers and contributing to a supportive team culture.
  • Self-starter who anticipates cross-functional needs, initiates alignment, and follows through to resolution.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Location/Work Hours: This role is 100% remote.

Pay Range

$50,000 - $65,000 USD
