Director, Agency New Business Sales

As Senior Manager or Director of Agency New Business Sales (title dependent on experience), you'll join our Channel sales team reporting to our VP Agency Partnership Sales leading new business sales. In this role, we are looking for a proven leader to grow and evolve our Agency sales team. You will establish NextRoll’s presence amongst prospective customers and drive the strategy and success of moving our acquisition up-market in North America & EMEA targeting long-term, sustainable customers across mid-market to holding company agencies. You will be instrumental in driving the agency sales strategy while being hands-on with improving sales tactics and facilitating a strong team dynamic. You'll thrive in this role as someone who is comfortable in a “startup environment” where change is not only expected but embraced for the opportunities it represents. You'll be expected to identify areas for growth in our industry, work closely with our Account Management and Channel Partnerships teams, in addition to our Marketing team on collateral needs and event support, and work hand in hand with the Sales Enablement team to develop training programs. We’re looking to find a team player who can be strategic and has a consistent track record of success in sales and people management. 

This is a hybrid position based in New York City.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Lead, mentor and manage a growing high-performing New Business Sales team of four across North America & EMEA, fostering a culture of success and collaboration
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at agencies, leveraging existing connections to open doors for your team
  • Focus on expanding NextRoll’s presence within strategic agencies
  • Drive revenue and productivity through tactical plans, ensuring key objectives and targets are met
  • Hire, develop, and motivate team members to achieve exceptional performance and retention
  • Maintain accountability, detail-orientation, and data-driven approach in all aspects of operations
  • Conduct regular business analyses to identify areas for improvement, implementing new processes and training to enhance sales performance and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with marketing and, product teams to develop Go-To-Market strategies, events, and lead generation tactics for Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) agencies, while partnering with account management and channel partnerships to provide excellent support to customers, helping plan for sustainable growth and expansion within our customers business and the entire Revenue and Agency Sales organization

Skills you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience leading a sales team
  • Experience selling programmatic advertising
  • Strong existing relationships with agency partners combined with the ability to effectively leverage them to drive business growth
  • Deep understanding and passion for technology-based clients and platforms in the digital advertising landscape
  • Proven track record in growing new business acquisition through consultative, strategic sales processes and utilizing professional networks
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport and trust with partners and team members
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with a startup mentality, demonstrating a proactive and agile approach to challenges.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of using data to inform decisions and drive outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining a focus on team development and productivity
  • Experience acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams, fostering collaboration across departments
  • Eagerness to collaborate with AdRoll Product, Marketing, Channel Partnerships and Enablement teams, with a strong focus on data analytics tools like SFDC, Tableau, Excel/Sheets, and regular presentation of business insights to executive leadership

Additional Information:

Minimum salary of $149,600 to maximum salary of $177,975 + commission + equity + benefits.  Up to 66.67% commission will be paid quarterly based on achievement of sales targets.

The range provided is NextRoll’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
