Why this Role?

Next Street is hiring a dynamic and strategic Marketing Associate to join the team driving client marketing initiatives and contribute to the firm's marketing and go-to-market strategic deployment. The Marketing Associate will work alongside internal and client teams to develop and execute comprehensive marketing and go-to-market plans for the client’s external audiences (e.g., Verizon, NYC Small Business Services, JPMC). This is an excellent opportunity to work directly on innovative marketing and communications-based projects while making a significant impact on our mission-driven work! 

The role will join as a member of the firm's Small Business Engagement team and will collaborate closely with our Revenue team to create and execute upon innovative strategies that elevate Next Street's brand and effectively represent our clients. Your day-to-day work will concentrate in these main areas: (1) client project support (2) digital marketing and go-to-market operations (3) Next Street brand and internal marketing support. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing.

Your work will consist of...

Client Project Support (50%)

  • Support go-to-market execution and communication strategies through client work
  • Support the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns (go-to-market product launches, brand uplifts, and sector-based amplification) consisting of tactics such as, paid media integration, earned media and events, content marketing, SEO optimization and digital  best-practices, and digital tool kit (Marketing Playbook) creation
  • Build and optimize strategic onboarding of ecosystem partners to referral programs to increase program amplification and engagement within local communities
  • Build inclusive, culturally competent content and collateral
  • Collaborate with trusted vendors such as ad agencies, copywriters, web developers, publicists, and graphic designers to develop high-quality marketing assets while ensuring adherence to client brand standards
  • Partner with Next Street's internal teams to create ecosystem partnership outreach materials, including partner Marketing Playbooks and campaign material
  • Manage comprehensive digital marketing and communications calendars for multiple clients

Digital Marketing & Go-to-Market Standard Operations (30%)

  • Set up and manage automated email triggers, templating, and communications across Next Street products and platforms servicing active and new clients
  • Contribute to internal creation and UX design updates as needed through Google Sites page extensions, ensuring cohesion and brand compliance across Next Street products and platforms
  • Assist with defining and templating firm-wide go-to-market flows and strategic deployment
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for go-to-market strategic deployment

Next Street Brand and Internal Marketing Support (20%)

  • Create Next Street-branded materials with particular attention to layout and design excellence
  • Write and edit internal communications, working with subject matter experts across the firm to translate project work and accomplishments into engaging blog posts, reports, case studies, and other marketing materials
  • Support internal events (e.g., Annual Retreat) by coordinating logistics and managing internal communications

 

Why you?

  • You have 3-5 years of relevant marketing, digital marketing, go-to-market, and communications experience
  • You have successfully developed and executed integrated marketing campaigns
  • You have experience with both traditional and digital marketing channels, particularly SEO optimization and lead generation
  • You have experience with graphic design and visual content creation
  • You can translate complex work into engaging, accessible content through short-form and long-form storytelling (written and visual)
  • You have experience leading and executing logistical tasks related to both client and internal events
  • You have familiarity with Business-to-Small Business (B2SB) marketing, small business engagement and grassroots outreach methods, particularly around target audience identification  
  • You have experience with marketing automation and design tools (MailChimp, Canva, Adobe Suite a plus)
  • You have experience with content management systems and basic UX principles
  • You believe in social equity and our commitment to anti-racism efforts
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and cross-functional relationship skills
  • You are detail-oriented, meet deadlines, and can manage multiple priorities
  • You are agile, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Next Street believes in an equitable and transparent compensation approach. The starting salary for Associate positions across the firm is $84,460 - $91,464 regardless of location and commensurate with experience. You will be eligible to participate annually in Next Street’s discretionary incentive program. For new hires, Next Street targets the start of the salary band, although considerations could be made based on job knowledge, skills, and experience. As part of our Antiracism commitment, Next Street uses a pay scale approach and transparent methodology to advance staff within a compensation band based on performance.
