Why this Role?

Next Street is seeking a full-time Product Designer / UX/UI Designer to own the end-to-end design experience across our platform—from brand expression and visual systems to thoughtful, user-centered UI/UX. This role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Project Delivery teams to design experiences that drive engagement, clarity, and impact for our users. The ideal candidate understands user behavior, designs with intent, and is comfortable moving quickly in a mission-driven, startup environment.

Your work will consist of…

  • Own the end-to-end product design process, from concept and brand expression through high-fidelity UI and interaction design.
  • Develop and evolve a cohesive brand and visual design system for Next Street that can be adopted across products, platforms, and marketing surfaces - helping to shape and maintain consistency across existing products that are continuously being improved and expanded.
  • Design and iterate on internal tools, admin dashboards, white-labeled solution, and operational interfaces with a focus on clarity and usability.
  • Design intuitive, engaging user experiences informed by user behavior and data to drive adoption and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Project Delivery teams to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Rapidly prototype concepts using AI-powered design tools and workflows to accelerate exploration and validation.
  • Design responsive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Create, manage, and maintain design assets in Figma, ensuring clean handoff and smooth collaboration with development teams.
  • Incorporate user feedback, testing, and insights into ongoing design improvements.

Why you?

  • You have ****4–6 years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, or UI/UX designer, owning end-to-end design for digital products.
  • You are comfortable developing and maintaining a brand style, visual language, and design system—while also diving deep into detailed product UI/UX work.
  • You have a strong understanding of user behavior and interaction design, and use that understanding to drive engagement and meaningful interactions.
  • You are highly proficient in Figma and experienced delivering developer-ready assets and components.
  • You are skilled at using AI tools to rapidly prototype, explore concepts, and iterate on designs.
  • You have experience designing responsive, cross-platform experiences and admin dashboards or internal tools, and understand how to balance complexity with usability.
  • You bring some experience in EdTech, Fintech, small business, or learning-oriented products.
  • You collaborate well in cross-functional environments but are not seeking people management responsibilities—this is a hands-on individual contributor role.
  • You are mission-driven, thrive in startup environments, and are comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively across Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders, translating technical constraints and user needs into actionable design decisions.
  • You are scrappy, creative, and motivated by building products that make a real difference.
  • Bonus: You have experience designing data visualization dashboards and/or marketing websites.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
