Information Technology Associate (External Agency Staff)

Overview /Objective:

  • This role requires strong football knowledge and attention to detail to monitor all game statistics and official NFL data feeds for accuracy. Additional functions include the postgame review of NFL game statistics, processing of NCAA football statistics and matching data to video feeds as well as a general level of technical knowledge of GSIS platforms, applications and code.
  • This role is a long term hourly contract with the NFL

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data collection process for operational staff reports and evaluations, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement 
  • GSIS environment and code base quality assurance
  • Basic SQL and .NET coding tasks
  • Additional duties as assigned by department 
  • Provide recommendations, assistance and testing of new GSIS software application features  

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Excellent knowledge of NFL and NCAA football (statistics, playing rules, players...etc.)  
  • Football/Sports industry experience desired 
  • Some technical networking, software and hardware knowledge, specifically GSIS platforms, applications and code base

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in sports statistics/analytics or a related field
  • Demonstrated technical skills relating to software QA, trouble-shooting and some coding

Terms /Expected Hours of Work:

  • Must be available to support and work all NFL games (nights and weekends) during the NFL season, including Holidays and Sundays  
  • 40+ Hours Per Week 
    • Weekly Function: Monday-Friday
    • Game Support Function: Weekends, Weeknights, Holidays…etc. 

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

Salary

$25.75 - $25.75 USD
