Senior Manager, Business Operations

The Senior Manager, Business Operations role is a key driver in building and advancing NFL Spain, serving as the primary interface with local stakeholders and leading the day-to-day execution of strategic country plans. This position is responsible for core operational areas, including expanding NFL fandom, executing international games and in-market events, supporting NFL teams through the Global Markets Program, and managing relationships with NFL Clubs. Additionally, the role will focus on growing the American football ecosystem in Spain by building partnerships with local federations, clubs, leagues, and stadiums to develop the sport at the grassroots level. Collaboration across NFL and NFL International departments - including Global Events, Consumer Products, Marketing, Commercial, and Consumer Insights - is essential to support the overall growth of American football and the NFL brand in Spain.
Responsibilities
- Manage key aspects of the NFL Spain operations, including:
- Local stakeholders’ & city relationships
- Business Management and KPI’s
- Global Markets Program and NFL Clubs’ relationship
- NFL Flag Program and Youth Development working with Flag international teams
- Specific fan-insights, analytics and research
- Support international media team on negotiations, day-to-day and relationships
- Administration management & logistics (Contract and supplier management)
- Special Projects and Business Planning
- Manage all budget aspects of those operations (monitoring/tracking, KPI’s development and controlling) together with the finance team
- Partner with function leads to ensure NFL Spain drives in-market execution and revenue growth along consumer products, commercial partners, media partners, ticketing & hospitality, events, football development, legal and others
- Collaborate with other NFL territory offices and apply standards and best practices where applicable
- Coordinate agencies and service providers
- Optimize and standardize operational processes
- Proactively identify growth opportunities for NFL Spain
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Administration, Business, Commercial/Sales, Marketing/Digital, Finance and/or related)
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in at least one of the following: consulting, marketing, sales, sports, media and/or corporate strategy with a focus on operations
- Minimum 3 years management experience leading people (teams, agencies, stakeholders, others)
- Deep knowledge of NFL, Clubs, key tentpoles, players, etc.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (both spoken and written)
- Proven creative problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret insights and data to drive strategies
- Strong communication, negotiation/sales, leadership, stakeholders’ management and presentation skills
- Proficiency in using PowerPoint, Excel and Word to develop presentations and budgets
- Passport (for international travels, mostly US)
Preferred Qualifications
- Sports/Entertainment experience/background preferred
- Not required for the position, but nice to have master’s degree or additional certifications - commercial, sales, finance, strategy, negotiation and/or leadership
- Proficient on Digital terms, social media and innovation
- Multitasking skills and good time-management skills

- Comfortable juggling multiple projects, prioritizing stakeholder needs, and working under tight deadlines
- High-quality interpersonal and influencing skills to work cross-functionally in a complex organization
- Command of contracts and experience working with Spanish legal professionals
Travel
- ~20% Travel (NFL & Clubs’ US, NFL international markets)
Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This role will require additional hours / flexible working during certain time periods.
Salary
€65.000 - €100.000 EUR

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
