Player Operations Event Logistics Associate (External Agency Staff)

The Player Operations Event Logistics Associate will assist the entire Player Operations department with a focus on hotel/vendor management, contract management, and overall event logistics.  The role will play a pivotal role in the execution of tent pole events and overall event support.

Responsibilities:

NFL Legends Community 

  • Planning and execution of NFL Legends Community events 
  • Manage invite list and tracking documents post event  
  • Manage creative needs (invites, presentations, save the dates, etc.)  
  • Manage any merchandise needs or gifting tied to events  
  • Manage the charity request process 

Player Experience and Activations  

  • Helps manage the overall experience and logistics tied to player appearances or NFL events  
    • Negotiate contracts and serve as the day-to-day contact for all vendors (hotels, venues, caterers, production company, etc.)  
    • Execute in-depth advanced planning processes, (site visits, budget, on-site set-up, etc.), hotel rooming lists, meeting space needs and food & beverage orders 
    • Manage the relationship with any vendor tied to player travel or logistics (Anthony Travel, Carey Cars, AMEX, etc.)  
    • Brainstorm ways to improve the overall experience for players attending NFL events  
    • Collaborate with the NFL Events team and key vendors (i.e., Populus) to determine the most efficient processes and routes for ingress/egress at tent pole events (i.e., Super Bowl, Draft Day 2, NFL Honors, etc.)  
    • Facilitate and track all necessary vendor payments, contracts, forms, etc. through CMS 
    • Oversee all gifting and merchandise needs for events  
  • Helps manage the overall experience for Football Operations staff at NFL tentpole events including hotel selection, office space requirements, IT needs, etc.  
    • Schedules and staffing assignments for events 
  • Helps manage the player visit opportunity and process for the NY and LA office  
    • Creation and management of a calendar to track visits  
    • Create an overall offer/package for the interested players/Legends  
    • Management of logistics tied to the player’s visit (travel, agenda, etc.)  

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in the hotel & entertainment industry
  • Prior experience in contract management preferred

Physical Demands:

  • This position may require standing for long periods of time and heavy lifting while on-site at NFL events

Travel:

  • This position will require travel approximately 30% of the year including select major NFL events

Expected Hours of Work:

  • This position is required to work 40 hours per week in the New York office
  • This position may require work on select weekends and holidays

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
