Seasonal Part-Time Viz Operator

NFL Media is seeking a highly motivated Viz Operator to execute real-time graphics playout for live and pre-recorded programming. This role is responsible for ensuring all on-air graphic elements are delivered accurately, seamlessly, and at the highest quality standards in a fast-paced, high-pressure broadcast environment.

The Viz Operator will work closely with production, technical operations, and editorial teams to support the execution of dynamic live shows, translating rundowns into precise on-air graphics while adapting quickly to changing content and breaking situations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute real-time graphics playout using Viz Trio during live and pre-recorded broadcasts, ensuring accuracy and timing of all on-air elements
  • Operate and manage multiple graphics engine outputs
  • Ability to prep and operate graphics without the need of a BA or PA
  • Interpret and execute graphics needs based on live and taped broadcast rundowns (e.g., ENPS or iNews)
  • Collaborate with producers, directors, and technical staff to align on graphic content, timing, and execution
  • Troubleshoot graphics and playout issues in real time, in coordination with production and technical teams
  • Maintain full awareness of broadcast flow, adjusting graphics execution to support evolving editorial priorities
  • Ensure quality control of all graphics elements, verifying accuracy, formatting, and readiness prior to air
  • Support transmission and technical operations teams during non-show hours as needed
  • Operate effectively in high-pressure live environments, adapting quickly to changes, late updates, and breaking content

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of graphics playout experience in a live control room environment
  • Working knowledge of Viz Trio with demonstrated experience executing graphics in live production
  • Familiarity with broadcast workflows, including rundowns, playout timing, and control room coordination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in live sports or fast-paced broadcast environments
  • Familiarity with HD quality control equipment and broadcast signal workflows
  • Experience with newsroom and rundown systems such as ENPS or iNews

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • On-call position working less than 29 hours per week based on production needs
  • Must be available for early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, and remote production support as required
  • Seasonal employment up to 7 months

Salary / Pay Range
