Graphic Designer Associate

The NFL is seeking a Graphic Designer to bring compelling and innovative visual and experiential design to life across the NFL brand. The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail, a willingness to collaborate with large groups, a passion for learning new cultures, and an enthusiastic attitude toward applying those learnings to thoughtful and well-crafted design. This role will work closely with an Art Director and members of the larger creative team to solve problems and develop the look and feel of our tent pole events, club branding/uniform projects, and various league campaigns and initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Design compelling, innovative, and engaging designs based on an established creative brief.
  • Create custom typography, logos, color palettes, patterns, and photographic treatments for branded style guides.
  • Be an excellent verbal and visual storyteller, bringing ideas to life using sketches, comps, and presentations.
  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills to effectively communicate creative ideas and move the needle within the creative team and with less design-fluent stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Project Managers, and the Production Team to deliver industry-leading creative work efficiently and promptly.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design experience developing brands, style guides, and branded experiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication design, graphic design, fine arts, or an equivalent field.
  • Strong portfolio with engaging, conceptually driven content that shows range, diversity, and a passion for creativity.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and accountable, able to work independently and in highly collaborative settings.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills and ability to distill complex information into meaningful concepts, ideas, and designs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often juggling multiple priorities and successfully balancing immediate short-term needs while maintaining a strategic vision for long-term projects.
  • Fluency in Adobe CC programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
  • Understand print and digital production standards such as color modes (CMYK, RGB, Pantone), bleed, packaging links, etc.
  • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of Keynote.
  • Must be willing to work full-time in the NFL League office in New York City.

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • This role requires travel (approximately 15 percent).
  • Walking outdoor event sites and standing for long periods are required.
