Part-time YouTube Content Coordinator

Inglewood, CA

The NFL Media Group is seeking a part-time YouTube Content Associate to support the NFL’s presence on YouTube.  This role will serve a variety of functions, including content editing, programming, data analysis, and thumbnail creation.  The YouTube Content Associate position is based in the NFL Los Angeles building adjacent to SoFi stadium in Inglewood, CA.

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Creative editor for YouTube-specific programming, both longform and shortform content
  • Daily programming duties (video uploads, scheduling)
  • Specialize in packaging of content, making day-to-day decisions about what videos, news stories, features, podcasts and other content best serves the NFL Digital Media audience and best fulfills our stated goals for consumption and generation of revenue
  • Monitor and track trends in consumption with analytics group to help make decisions on what content is resonating with users
  • Write compelling titles and captions that are optimized for YouTube platform and Google Search
  • Create/ select compelling thumbnail imagery that drive traffic to our digital media platforms primarily YouTube and Connected TV.
  • Work closely with NFL Media Content teams as well as all 32 teams for content sharing and co-productions
  • Leverage analytics to help inform content ideas and execution
  • Research NFL history for pertinent projects

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of NFL football (Teams, Players, History, Storylines)
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, Holidays, and special events/instances of breaking news
  • Strong Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere skills
  • Must have deep understanding of the YouTube platform
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment
  • Adept at writing compelling titles and creating engaging thumbnails for content
  • Creative thinker who can identify storylines and represent them to our audience in an interesting way
  • Detail-oriented individual who executes for success
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of video production

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred
  • Experience in Sports media a plus

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge in NFL both current and historical
  • Knowledge of Madden video game
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Suite

Terms /Expected Hours of Work

  • Part-time, up to 29 hours per week in office

Salary

$25 - $30 USD
