Legends Development Fellow

The Legends Development Fellows will assist the entire Player Operations department with a focus on either Player Engagement or the NFL Legends Community.  The Legends fellows will play a pivotal role in the execution of key programming across the Player Engagement and Legends spaces.

Responsibilities:

Legends Community:

  • Assist with encouraging NFL Legends to download the Players Community App and help spread awareness of the benefits and resources available
  • Assist with monitoring the NFL Legends inbox and respond to questions/concerns
  • Assist in developing new ways to engage with the teams and Legends
  • Assist with preparation for the annual Legends Community Welcome Webinar at NFL Films
  • Provide on-site support at select Legends Community events and at NFL League tent pole events  
  • Support the administration of the Legends Community Coaches Network

Player Engagement:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of Player Engagement meetings and events
    • Player Engagement Annual Meeting, Workshops, Social Justice Town Halls, Super Bowl Activations, and Career Tours
  • Manage the Player Engagement Monthly Newsletter
  • Assist with tracking and reporting club degree verifications
  • Responsible for updating Player Engagement resources on the Player Portal
  • Assist with the administration and recruitment for NFL Player Engagement programs for both players and Legends
  • Design PowerPoint presentations for Player Engagement initiatives and meetings

Player Relations:

  • Provide operational on-site support at Super Bowl, NFL Combine and the NFL Draft
  • Assist with the development of presentations and "look books" for events
  • Additional projects and ad-hoc opportunities upon request

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working in the sports marketing industry
  • Prior experience in client management preferred

  • Effective interpersonal skills that enable one to communicate and work across the organization and with outside parties
  • Ability to manage others with different interests and skill sets
  • Maintain autonomy on select projects and integrate internal parties where necessary

Physical Demands:

  • This position may require standing for long periods of time and heavy lifting while on-site at NFL events

Travel:

  • This position will require travel 20% of the year including select major NFL events

Expected Hours of Work:

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week
  • This position may require work on select weekends and holidays
  • This is considered a seasonal position, with a set end date after 6 months.

Salary / Pay Range:  The pay range reflected is the weekly rate.
