Director, Facility Security Operations
The Director of Facility Security Operations is responsible for leading the implementation and oversight of security operations across all NFL domestic facilities. This role ensures the protection of personnel, property, and assets by coordinating the deployment and maintenance of physical security systems, managing contracted security personnel, and overseeing life safety programs.
A key focus of this position is the development and continual refinement of emergency preparedness and response protocols. The Director will work proactively to identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring the safety and resilience of all facility operations and occupants
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain electronic access control systems
- Administer user credentials and permissions, audit access logs
- Oversee the installation, operation and maintenance of security cameras and monitoring systems
- Monitor live system, review for incidents, and retrieve footage as required for investigations
- Serve as primary liaison to third-party integrators and partners on all security related systems
- Design security policies pertaining to vendor registration, visitor access, and mailroom screening
- Utilize audit and inspection tools to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
- Implement, review, and revise physical security measures to reflect current threat profile
- Coordinate with security vendors to schedule appropriate guard coverage and ensure overall contract compliance
- Train security personnel in standard operating procedures and industry best practices
- Develop accountability measures to ensure contracted personnel are providing customer-oriented security services in alignment with organization’s values
- Conduct performance reviews, briefings, and post inspections
- Foster a motivational environment which encourages high performance
- Design and review emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and incident reporting protocols
- Conduct regular training exercises and emergency drills for staff and security personnel
- Coordinate training exercises with local police, fire, and emergency services agencies
- Inspect and maintain facility’s safety kits including, but not limited to, Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and first aid and bleeding control supplies
- Deliver education programs and products to promote employee safety including but not limited to, annual CPR, AED and Stop the Bleed certification/training
- Operate emergency response communication systems
- Routinely communicate with internal and external stakeholders and provide direction and guidance within crisis management system
- Establish security policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal regulations which align with industry best practices
- Coordinate with co-tenants and building management to ensure full integration of security programs
- Document and preserve records related to incidents, training, inspections, and system maintenance
- Liaison with industry partners and local public safety agencies to maximize information sharing
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate or institutional security, or comparable law enforcement experience
- Highly proficient in use of camera systems, access control programs, and emergency communication
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to security and emergency management
- Knowledge of state and federal workplace environmental health and safety regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dedicated study in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Professional certification(s) (e.g., CPP, PSP, AEM, or CEM)
- Prior experience in supervisory or managerial role
- Demonstrated ability to design and validate through testing and exercises, effective incident response strategies and procedures

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
