So, what’s the role all about?

The Lead Solution Architect is a senior, UK-based post‑sales technology leader responsible for guiding enterprise customers through the successful adoption, implementation, and optimisation of NICE CXone solutions. This individual will own the technical architecture across complex customer environments, ensuring secure, scalable and cloud‑ready solution designs underpinned by industry best practice.

Operating primarily in a post‑sale capacity, the Lead Solution Architect partners closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, Product, and Customer Engineering teams to deliver enterprise‑grade architectures across SaaS, cloud (AWS preferred), and security‑first environments. The role demands a seasoned architecture professional with deep experience in solution design, cloud platforms, systems integration, and customer‑facing leadership.

How will you make an impact?  

  • Lead the end‑to‑end technical architecture for enterprise customer implementations, ensuring designs meet business requirements and align with NICE CXone capabilities.
    • Own customer architectural governance throughout deployment, migration, integration, and optimisation phases.
    • Translate complex business needs into technically sound, scalable and secure architectures across multi‑cloud and hybrid environments.
    • Provide authority‑level guidance on SaaS application design, cloud security, data flows, API integration, and architectural best practice.
    • Collaborate with project and delivery teams to ensure alignment between design, build, and deployment phases.
    • Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and solution validation checkpoints.
    • Mentor solution architects by providing technical leadership, architectural oversight, and knowledge sharing.
    • Produce high‑quality architectural artefacts, including HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, models, and impact assessments.
    • Act as the senior technical contact for enterprise customers, supporting escalations and ensuring customer success outcomes.
    • Maintain up‑to‑date expertise across cloud technologies, integration patterns, security standards, and enterprise architecture frameworks.

Have you got what it takes?

Required Education, Experience, and Specific Job-Related Skills

  • ​8+ years enterprise‑level solution architecture experience.
    • Extensive experience within SaaS, cloud computing (AWS preferred), and secure solution design.
    • Strong background in integration architecture, APIs, data modelling, and cloud application patterns.
    • Expertise in designing scalable, resilient and secure enterprise architectures.
    • Proven post‑sales or delivery‑focused consulting experience.
    • Strong ability to lead technical conversations with senior customer stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
    • Experience working with enterprise‑scale customers and complex technology estates.

    Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
    • TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, or other relevant industry certifications.
    • Experience with contact centre technologies, AI/ML platforms, or conversational AI.
    • Familiarity with enterprise security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
