So, what’s the role all about?

NICE Actimize, the global leader in financial crime prevention, trade surveillance, and regulatory compliance solutions, is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our SURVEIL-X team at our Global Talent Center in Pune, India. You will collaborate with implementation engineers, Project Managers, solution architects, R&D, and Product Management to deliver SURVEIL-X solutions that help financial institutions meet their capital markets compliance and trade surveillance obligations.

How will you make an impact?

  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders—clients, R&D teams, and senior leadership—both in writing and in person, adapting style and depth to the audience.
  • Engage directly with clients to address functional and technical queries, resolve configuration issues, and support end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify and propose product enhancements that address client-specific compliance requirements while remaining within established SURVEIL-X product frameworks.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Professional Services, and Customer Support to ensure seamless solution delivery and consistent client outcomes.
  • Travel to client sites or work across time zones as required to support critical delivery milestones.
  • Mentor junior business analysts, conduct structured peer reviews, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for capital markets compliance, trade surveillance regulations (e.g., MiFID II, MAR, Dodd-Frank), and NICE Actimize SURVEIL-X capabilities.
  • Partner with clients to understand data ingestion requirements, trade data flows, and system integration needs, translating them into actionable implementation specifications.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and prepare client-facing solution presentations that clearly articulate SURVEIL-X capabilities and business value.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables while maintaining clarity on technical and business objectives.
  • Fast learner with proven adaptability to evolving regulatory requirements and compliance technology landscapes.
  • Strong analytical and modeling capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation, integration pipelines, and financial data mapping across structured and semi-structured formats.
  • Proficient in SQL for querying trade, order, and market data across relational databases; familiarity with financial data interfaces is essential.
  • Solid working knowledge of Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies in enterprise software environments.
  • Proficiency with delivery and collaboration tools: MS Teams, JIRA, Aha!, Excel, Visio.

Have you got what it takes?

  • 8–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Investment Banking domain.
  • BE/B.Tech Degree or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience working in global and matrix organizational environments.
  • Mandatory domain experience in Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Investment Banking; prior exposure to trade surveillance or compliance technology is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in database querying, Linux/Unix command-line operations, and log analysis using standard file editing tools.
  • Skilled in authoring high-quality business documentation: Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FSDs), use cases, test scenarios, and traceability matrices.
  • Experience owning end-to-end client-facing delivery engagements—from requirements elicitation and solution design through to production go-live—either independently or in collaboration with other Business Analysts.
  • Strong capability to elicit, validate, and translate complex client requirements into SURVEIL-X configuration and implementation solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with NICE Actimize Compliance Suite applications—SURVEIL-X, AML, or Fraud Detection—is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with Actimize front-end configuration and customization (AIS/RCM/UDM) is strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, and relational databases (MS-SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Unix commands and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud environments is an advantage.
  • Understanding of secure, scalable application design principles relevant to financial crime and trade surveillance platforms.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a high capacity for self-learning.
  • Effective collaboration and knowledge-sharing mindset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and support team members.
