Solutions Architect III/IV

Remote

About the Role

Nightingale College is looking for a Solutions Architect who thinks in systems, builds with AI, and owns a problem from the first conversation all the way to production. This isn't a traditional developer role — you won't be handed a spec and told to code it. You'll talk directly with the people who have the problem, design a solution that actually fits, and use AI-native tools as your primary build engine to bring it to life. At this level, you're not just delivering solutions — you're raising the bar for how the whole team delivers them.

What You'll Do

  • Engage directly with end-users and stakeholders to understand problems, surface requirements, and define what success looks like
  • Design solution architectures that are practical, scalable, and grounded in real business needs
  • Build and iterate on solutions using AI-native development tools and workflows
  • Own your solutions from first conversation through production deployment
  • Continuously shrink the time between spotting a problem and shipping working software
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve existing systems and workflows through AI-enabled solutions
  • Mentor other Solution Architects and help raise the capability of the broader team

What You Bring

  • Significant experience in a solutions, technical, product, or systems role (see level breakdown below)
  • A demonstrated ability to build and lead the delivery of complex, AI-built solutions
  • Comfort operating with high independence — you know how to scope ambiguity into a solvable problem
  • A systems-thinking mindset that spans multiple stakeholders and functional areas
  • A track record of mentoring or developing other builders
  • Strong communication skills that bridge business needs, technical reality, and organizational strategy
  • Relevant cloud, data, or AI platform certifications are a plus, though not required

Budgeted Hiring Range

$173,000 - $224,000 USD

All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will cover travel, lodging, and other accommodations.
