Change Management Specialist III

About the Role:

Change is only as successful as the people who adopt it. As our Specialist III, Change Management, you'll lead change management execution across the institution. You'll apply and maintain our change management framework and toolkit so departments can move through organizational change with clarity and consistency. You'll also equip leaders across the organization to lead change well within their own areas.

What You'll Do:

Shape our change strategy and framework 

• Support and help maintain the enterprise change management strategy, in alignment with Strategic Alignment's priorities 
• Build and maintain Nightingale Education Group's change management framework and toolkit, incorporating best practices and lessons learned from active initiatives 
• Apply established methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter) to Nightingale's culture and structure, recommending adjustments as needed  

Lead change in action 

• Lead change management efforts for institutional initiatives, designing and executing plans tailored to each initiative's scope and risk 
• Assess change-related risks and resistance across affected areas and recommend mitigation approaches 
• Conduct change impact and readiness assessments across affected functions 
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including PMO, Operational Excellence, and others as needed, to support structured, well-sequenced launches 
• Lead post-implementation reviews and drive closure of adoption gaps through targeted action plans 
• Provide change management support for single-function or smaller cross-functional initiatives as capacity allows 

Build capability across the organization 

• Equip Functional Leaders with change management principles, tools, and practices 
• Support change management capability building across the enterprise through an ongoing cadence of coaching and skill-building 

Data, Reporting & Stakeholder Alignment 

• Report on change adoption progress, stakeholder sentiment, and readiness status to leadership and Ops Council on a regular cadence 
• Build and maintain stakeholder maps and sentiment-tracking dashboards for active initiatives 
• Develop change communication materials, including executive updates, leader toolkits, and FAQs, to keep stakeholders informed through each initiative 

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, Public Administration, or a related discipline; Master's preferred 
• 4 to 6 years of experience in change management, organizational development, or a related discipline, leading change for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives 
• Working knowledge of a structured change management methodology (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter); Prosci Certified Change Practitioner or CCMP required, or equivalent recognized certification 
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with demonstrated ability to craft clear messaging and engage stakeholders across levels 
• Solid analytical skills, able to translate adoption data and readiness metrics into actionable recommendations 
• Experience in higher education or another highly regulated, multi-stakeholder environment is preferred

How Success Is Measured

• Change Adoption Rate: the share of institutional initiatives that reach target adoption within the defined timeframe.
• Department Leader Readiness & Enablement: the share of Department Leaders demonstrating change management capability.
• Stakeholder Sentiment: the trend in readiness and sentiment scores across tracked initiatives.
• Framework Utilization: the share of enterprise initiatives using our standardized change management framework.
