
Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role in a fast-paced, growth environment with exposure to all levels of accounting and finance. The Senior Accountant will play a key part in evolving our accounting infrastructure to scale with the business and will report directly to our Controller.
This is an in-office role based in our New York City headquarters in Chelsea. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team setting and be eager to support teammates to ensure the broader success of the finance and operations functions.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and process journal entries with proper documentation as part of the monthly close process
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and post necessary adjustments promptly
- Manage the timely processing of accounts payable, including resolution of vendor inquiries and year-end 1099 filings
- Handle sales tax computations and filings across multiple states
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with financial analysis and internal/external reporting, including investor reports, KPIs, and board presentations
- Collaborate across departments to improve processes for greater accuracy, efficiency, and consistency
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as needed
- Ensure strict adherence to US GAAP and internal accounting policies
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, ideally within high-growth or multi-entity environments
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to independently resolve discrepancies
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, including consolidation and elimination entries
- Experience with ERP and financial systems such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Concur, or Hyperion
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ethical, respectful, and collaborative team player
What We Offer:
- The salary range for this role is: $80,000 - $100,000 annually. This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies
