
Accounting Manager
Location: NYC (Chelsea) | Onsite, 5 days per week

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Accounting Manager to own key areas of financial operations, optimize systems, and improve the overall structure of the accounting function. This role will be instrumental in enhancing the close process, strengthening internal controls, and supporting system integrations that position the company for continued scale.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment, brings strong technical accounting expertise, and enjoys building efficient and automated processes. This is currently an individual contributor role with plans to grow into a team leadership position.
What You’ll Do:
- Support in leading close processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and continuous improvement of the close cycle.
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Record and review complex intercompany transactions and ensure proper eliminations and consolidation accuracy.
- Partner with FP&A during close to analyze results, support budget vs. actual (BvA) reporting, and provide insights into key drivers and variances.
- Support in accounting system integrations and implementation projects to improve automation and drive process improvements that reduce manual effort and increase scalability.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP across all accounting and financial reporting activities.
- Act as a key business partner to the Controller.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop future direct reports as the accounting team expands.
What We Require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CPA track preferred.
- 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of full cycle accounting and the month end close process.
- Proven experience supporting system integrations and accounting system implementations.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software; NetSuite experience a plus.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations).
- Experience with automation tools and system integrations.
Soft Skills
- Detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment with evolving priorities.

What We Offer:
- The salary range for this role is:$140,000 - $160,000. This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies

Work Environment
This is a highly-visible in-office role based on-site in our NYC office in Chelsea 5 days per week.
NYS Pay Range
$140,000 - $160,000 USD
