
Field IT Generalist

We are looking for an experienced Field IT Generalist to support a growing group of veterinary hospitals. This role provides remote and onsite support, maintains systems across multiple locations, and coordinates IT equipment purchasing and setup. Google Workspace experience is required, and experience with veterinary practice management software is strongly preferred.
What You'll Do:
- Provide remote and onsite support for computers, printers, EMR label printers, phones, networks, Wi-Fi, and other hospital technology
- Administer Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Adobe applications, user accounts, onboarding, and offboarding
- Purchase computers, monitors, printers, EMR label printers, networking equipment, and other IT supplies; maintain inventory and coordinate repairs and replacements
- Support technology setup for new hospital openings, expansions, and relocations
- Support veterinary practice software and integrations with imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and diagnostic systems
- Troubleshoot VoIP phones, security cameras, access controls, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
- Maintain device security, software updates, multifactor authentication, and antivirus protection
- Manage support requests, documentation, and third-party vendors
- Travel to hospital locations and provide occasional after-hours support for urgent issues and new openings
Role Expectations
- Schedule may vary based on project needs, deliveries, practice openings, and site priorities.
- Some early morning, evening, or weekend availability may be needed during launches or time-sensitive projects.
- Occasional out-of-state travel with overnight stays may be required.
- Maintain professionalism while onsite at active veterinary hospitals, construction sites, and new practice locations.
What We Require:
- At least two years of experience in an IT support, help desk, desktop support, or IT generalist role
- Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, Windows computers, printers, networking, Microsoft 365, and Adobe applications
- Experience purchasing, configuring, and supporting computers, printers, label printers, and related equipment
- Working knowledge of network troubleshooting, device management, and basic cybersecurity
- Ability to troubleshoot independently, communicate clearly, and prioritize requests across multiple locations
- Ability to travel, sometimes with limited notice, and provide occasional after-hours support
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience:
- Experience supporting veterinary hospitals, healthcare environments, or other multi-location organizations
- Knowledge of veterinary practice management software and related diagnostic, pharmacy, imaging, or laboratory integrations
What We Offer:
- The salary range for this role is: $70,000 - $90,000. This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies
