Data Solutions Engineer

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 plus bonus and incentive stock options

Job Summary

Our Data & Technology team is looking to hire a Data Solutions Engineer to strengthen our team’s ability to design, structure, and optimize data. This position will play a critical role in building and maintaining Airtable bases, designing scalable data structures, and supporting broader programming and automation needs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into structured, reliable data solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain data tables in Airtable (front end) and in our data warehouse.
• Identify and implement data structures that can be scaled for usability across teams.
• Identify opportunities to streamline or automate workflows and improve data processes.
• Support integrations, automations, and workflows between Airtable and other platforms.
• Apply programming knowledge (Python, SQL, or similar) to enhance efficiency and data quality.
• Document data structures and processes to ensure transparency and team-wide knowledge sharing.
• Other duties as assigned

Required education and experience:

• 3+  years of experience in data structuring, solutions engineering, or related roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in building and managing Airtable bases, including automations, syncing tables between bases, scripting both within Airtable and using the Airtable API
• Strong skills in data structuring, modeling, and optimization.
• Programming experience in Python and SQL.
• Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt or SQLMesh. 
• Ability to approach data problems analytically, with a background in Math, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields (CS degree not required).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred experience:

• Broader experience with database systems and integrations beyond Airtable.
• Experience in data engineering or adjacent technical roles.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools and APIs.
