As a Senior Trading Operations Associate at NinjaTrader, you will work with a team of talented Trade Desk, Operations and Risk Management team members to provide trade-related assistance to our brokerage customers via world class, timely email and phone support. The ideal candidate can adapt to fluctuating volatility within the markets – able to seamlessly move between a fast-paced and slow-paced environment.  

In this role, you will:

  • Manage customer trade positions and perform trading operations risk management functions, including supporting post trade allocations, review and approve treasury requests, and set-up risk parameters for customers
  • Work in a fast-paced trading environment with daily interaction across multiple business units (Compliance, AML, Engineering, Treasury)
  • Identify Trading Operational control gaps and suggest process improvements
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, exchanges, and regulatory agencies
  • Monitor market trends, analyze data, and identify opportunities for proactive risk mitigation
  • Perform general trading surveillance reviews, with a focus on potential market manipulation and disruption
  • Monitor and evaluate trading performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
  • Manage everyday customers’ trading activity while being flexible for special bookings, allocations, FX trades, among other daily activities
  • Discover and resolve trade breaks, perform end of day checks, and process commission discrepancies and adjustments, as needed
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact trading activities
  • Maintain a regular understanding of new Exchange Product offerings, including contract specifications and changing margin requirements
  • Review and support contract expiration processing with a focus on ensuring the firm does not incur unwanted assignments
  • Develop and maintain trading policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate operational risks

Key Job Requirements:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • 1+ years in a Trading Operations, Risk or similar position
  • Strong Microsoft office skills with an advanced skillset in excel and managing large datasets 
  • Tech savvy and able to troubleshoot computer issues directly with clients
  • Comfortable learning our proprietary trading software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and willing to help in any situation
  • Detail oriented, even while multi-tasking
  • Positive attitude and eager to learn
  • Willing and able to work alternate shifts when necessary (2nd, 3rd)
  • Perform other duties, strategic projects and responsibilities as assigned
  • Ability to work well with others and across functions (new accounts, support and customer service, marketing, finance, etc.)

Bonus Points for:

  • Strong interest in financial markets - prior experience is a plus
  • Foreign language - Preferably Spanish, Portuguese or French
