As part of the Platform Engineering team, you will help design and build solutions that allow our engineers to move fast while reliably and safely releasing code into our global cloud infrastructure. You will also be responsible for deploying single-cluster and multi-cluster services to Kubernetes clusters multiple times a day.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact across the entire engineering organization at NinjaTrader, influencing the productivity and efficiency of the entire engineering organization. You will collaborate closely with multiple engineering teams, including product engineering, infrastructure engineering, and technical operations, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with company goals. Additionally, you will work closely with technical leadership to inform technical strategy, drive innovation, and ensure that our platform is optimized for scalability, reliability, and performance.

What you'll do:

  • Multi-Platform CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored to our web, mobile (iOS and Android), and desktop platforms, ensuring a lean and efficient build, test, and deployment process across all platforms and multiple environments.
  • Platform-Specific Automation: Develop automation solutions for deploying updates to web (React, NextJS, or similar frameworks), mobile (Flutter apps for iOS/Android), and desktop platforms (Electron or other frameworks). Ensure platform-specific configurations and optimizations are incorporated.
  • Feature Flag Integration: Standardize and improve our feature flagging system to enable incremental releases, A/B testing, and gradual feature rollouts across web, mobile, and desktop environments.
  • Canary & Blue/Green Deployments: Design and implement canary and blue/green deployment strategies across web, mobile, and desktop platforms to ensure seamless, low-risk rollouts of new features and services.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage IaC tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management for all platforms.
  • Monitoring and Reliability: Collaborate with SRE and QA teams to build reliable monitoring and alerting systems, ensuring the health and performance of web, mobile, desktop and our trading platforms.
  • Cross-Platform Collaboration: Work closely with product engineering, operations, and other cross functional teams to ensure timely feature delivery and platform-specific requirements are met, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement best practices around security and compliance (e.g., SOC2, PCI-DSS) in the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring all deployments for web, mobile, and desktop platforms meet regulatory standards.

What you need:

  • 8+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering roles, with experience supporting web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
  • CI/CD Mastery: Demonstrable experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for web (e.g., React), mobile (iOS/Android with Jenkins, Github Actions), and desktop platforms (e.g., Electron).
  • Feature Flagging Expertise: Experience in designing and implementing feature flagging systems (e.g., LaunchDarkly, or custom-built systems) for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Deployment Strategies: Strong experience with deployment strategies like canary releases, blue/green deploys, and rolling updates in production environments across multiple platforms.
  • Platform-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with build systems, deployment pipelines, and platform-specific requirements for mobile (iOS, Android) and desktop (Electron) apps.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, with deep knowledge of services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and Kubernetes. In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go) and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Observability: Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar, to ensure system health and reliability across all platforms.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills. Able to influence technical decisions across teams and mentor junior engineers.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
