As an API Support Specialist Second Shift, you will work closely with vendors, development teams, and internal stakeholders to design, build, improve, and maintain API integrations that drive seamless financial experiences for our expanding customer base. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and cross-departmental collaboration to meet both business and technical objectives. Hours for this role are Sunday through Thursday from 2pm CT – 11pm CT, though an initial training period of 4-6 weeks working 1st shift hours will be required.

In this role you will:

Provide technical support to firms through remote assistance calls, addressing vendor inquiries and troubleshooting issues efficiently

Triage and manage service interruption cases, ensuring timely resolutions

Act as a key contributor to the launch of new products and services, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and other departments

Maintain active communication and support with API vendor development teams and retail API users via community forums

Take ownership of the cases you handle, following up with vendors to ensure inquiries are resolved completely

Collaborate across multiple departments to ensure technical and business objectives are met

Advocate for developers by driving feature requests and requirements with Product and Engineering teams

Develop and maintain expertise in NinjaTrader’s product offerings, technical design, and API capabilities
What you'll need:

Experience in API support or 3+ years of software development
-
Demonstrated expertise with Java, JSON, or using third-party REST API
-
Demonstrated experience with technical writing

Experience with SQL, WebSockets, Java, C++, .NET, and other programming languages are a plus

A passion for excellent documentation, with strong oral and written communication skills

Experience troubleshooting complex problems, working effectively across multiple teams
Compensation:
The salary range for this role will be $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 6%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).
Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays. Additional details on our total compensation package and benefits are listed below.
