Senior Golang Developer (Technical Lead)

Nirmata is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead to join our team and work on the Nirmata Policy Management cloud solution. Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide strong technical leadership to the engineering team, guiding them in architecture decisions, code reviews, and best practices, with a focus on leveraging Go (Golang) effectively.
  • Hands-on Development: Lead by example by actively contributing to the codebase, writing high-quality, efficient code in Go for critical components of the startup's software platform.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Work closely with product managers and designers to rapidly prototype and iterate on new features and ideas, leveraging Go to build scalable and innovative solutions.
  • Scalable Architecture: Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available systems using Go, ensuring that the architecture can support the startup's growth and scalability requirements.
  • Modern Tech Stack: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Go and software engineering, evaluating new tools, frameworks, and libraries to improve the startup's tech stack and development processes. Proficient in contemporary architectural methodologies encompassing NoSQL databases, scalable database systems, message queuing, and distributed caching.
  • Technical Strategy: Contribute to the technical roadmap and long-term vision of the startup, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation through technology.
  • Problem Solving: Act as a technical mentor and coach for other engineers, helping them troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop their problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an environment where problem definitions are not precise, preferably in a technical leadership role, with a strong understanding of the challenges and dynamics of such an ecosystem.
  • Expertise in Go: Extensive hands-on experience with Go (Golang) development, including a deep understanding of language internals, concurrency patterns, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Cloud-native Architecture: Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, leveraging containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is typically required, although relevant work experience may suffice.
