  • Manage daily cash movement, monitor bank activity, approve wires, maintain banking relationships, support lender reporting, and oversee cash forecasting and liquidity.
  • Track construction and equipment costs, manage CIP and fixed assets, maintain standard costs and inventory valuation, and monitor material and labor usage. Work with Operations and Engineering to provide clear cost and cash-flow visibility.
  • Maintain budget controls, assist with forecasts and variance analysis, and prepare consolidated management reports with insights for leadership.
  • Manage grant accounting, including cost segregation, allowability, documentation, indirect rates, audit readiness, and preparation of reimbursement packages and required reports.
  • Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings (including sales/use and property tax), coordinate with external tax advisors, and ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and lender requirements.
  • Lead ERP implementation. Build scalable processes for purchasing, cost tracking, approvals, monthly close, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance. Manage insurance renewals and coordinate with brokers.
  • Develop the accounting team and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and leadership on company-wide initiatives.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analyses and strategic projects to improve visibility, strengthen operations, and support company growth.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing or chemical plant accounting.
  • Strong hands-on experience in cost accounting, project accounting, and grant accounting.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and building accounting processes from scratch.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to operate independently.
