Venture CEO Nilocas

UK, London

As CEO of Nilocas, a groundbreaking venture in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD), you have the opportunity to revolutionize the way CAD is diagnosed and treated, significantly improving patient outcomes while reducing healthcare costs. Are you the visionary leader who can drive this innovation forward?

The innovation

In the US and the UK, 4 million angiograms are performed annually to diagnose coronary artery disease (CAD). However, 65% of these procedures reveal no significant CAD, representing a major inefficiency in the diagnostic pathway.

Nilocas is developing an innovative device that captures the sounds of turbulent blood flow through narrowed coronary arteries caused by CAD. Using advanced signal analysis and machine learning, the device provides a clear, accurate diagnosis within just 10 minutes. This transformative technology has the potential to diagnose CAD before an angiogram is performed, ensuring that only appropriate patients undergo invasive procedures and saving significant healthcare costs.

The CEO role

The CEO will be responsible for leading Nilocas in crafting and executing a business strategy to bring this groundbreaking product to market. Your focus will include guiding the device through product development, regulatory approval, and market introduction while building strategic partnerships and securing funding to fuel the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Business strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to drive product development, market entry, and growth.
  • QMS: Experience in the implementation and management of Quality Management Systems (QMS) within a healthcare environment is required.
  • Product development: Oversee the development of the device from prototype to market-ready product, ensuring rigorous testing and validation.
  • Regulatory Strategy: Navigate regulatory pathways, including securing FDA and other relevant approvals.

  • Capital raising: Lead fundraising efforts to secure the necessary capital for development and commercialization.
  • Team leadership: Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team.

Your background includes

  • Proven leadership experience as a CEO or similar executive role in the medtech industry.
  • Strong expertise in medtech/electronic product development, with additional experience in signal analysis and AI being highly advantageous.
  • A track record of successfully navigating regulatory approvals, particularly 510(k) submissions in the U.S.
  • Experience in fundraising and investor relations, with a demonstrated ability to secure funding for medtech ventures.
  • An extensive professional network within healthcare and medtech industries.
  • International experience.
  • P&L responsibility and financial management expertise.

The opportunity:

This is more than just a role; it is a chance to lead a venture that could redefine the diagnostic landscape for coronary artery disease. Here’s what we offer:

  • Equity-based remuneration: Share in the success you help create.

Why This Matters We are looking for a CEO who is not only experienced and skilled but also deeply motivated by the potential impact of Nilocas’ technology. This is a unique opportunity to lead a venture that could make a profound difference in millions of lives by improving the efficiency and accuracy of CAD diagnostics.

If you are ready to take on this challenge and lead Nilocas to success, we want to hear from you.
