Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Solution Marketing to lead the go-to-market strategies for our embedded payments solutions. In this role, you will develop compelling positioning, messaging and value propositions for our embedded payment solutions tailored to SaaS companies.  You’ll be responsible for leveraging industry research to inform product messaging and positioning. As a strong storyteller you will translate complex payment and SaaS concepts into compelling narratives and communicate them effectively across diverse audiences from developers to C-suite executives, from software companies to industry analysts. You will drive solution launches, build solutions bundles, create compelling content, and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to drive maximum market impact.  You will be the go-to market expert for NMI’s embedded payment solutions, with a strong understanding of our offerings, value propositions, financial and payments ecosystem, and software platforms and how embedded payments empower SaaS growth.   

The ideal candidate will have the following Key Responsibilities:

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans for embedded payment solutions. Collaborate and work closely with sales, product, product marketing and marketing communications teams to ensure successful launches and commercial outcomes.

Industry Analysis: Understand SaaS industry trends, payment trends, personas (from developer to C-level), and competitive landscapes to refine solution positioning, messaging and GTM.

  • Evangelism & Advocacy: Act as a key evangelist for NMI’s embedded payments solutions, representing the company at industry events, analyst briefings, and media engagements.
  • Storytelling & Communication: Craft compelling narratives that simplify complex technical concepts, addressing both SaaS and payment solution challenges. Ensure messaging resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences, demonstrating the value of NMI’s solutions.
  • Content Creation: Develop compelling content,including articles, blogs, white papers, presentations, and demos to demonstrate NMI’s thought leadership in embedded payments – driving brand awareness and effectively communicating NMI’s value proposition to prospects, customers, analysts and press.
  • Product Expertise & Strategy: Become the subject-matter expert for embedded payments, staying well-informed about the competitive landscape, product offerings and evolving market trends.  
  • Solution Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear, compelling solution positioning and messaging informed by user research, market analysis, and a strong understanding of our product offerings and SaaS strategy.
  • Solution Bundles: Create tailored solution bundles for specific industries addressing the unique needs of software companies and their customers.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in payments, fintech and or financial services with experience in serving SaaS platforms.
  • 5-10 years experience in solution marketing, product marketing, or a related role, with a strong focus on payments and embedded payments for software companies.
  • Proven experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for complex technical solutions in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
  • Strong understanding of the SaaS and payment ecosystems, including processors, gateways, developer tools, APIs and the embedded payments landscape.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences—from developers to C-level executives.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a hyper-growth environment, working independently and cross-functionally with agility and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of tech trends and enthusiasm for emerging technologies in the payment and SaaS markets
  • Technical or Business degree, MBA a plus.
