About The Team:
The Director of Manufacturing will lead and grow a dynamic manufacturing team during Noah’s NPI commercialization phase through to sustaining. The role will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and lead production, industrial engineering and other duties. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, optimize production schedules, meet customer demands, improve processes, support NPI, scale production, improve the factory, could own safety and facilities, while maintaining high-quality standards for the group.
A Day In The Life Of Our Director, Manufacturing:
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Manufacturing team during NPI commercialization through sustaining.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with the company's objectives, ensuring production and factory scales accordingly.
- Manages production team to achieve build requirements.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and utilize data analytics to streamline operations, increase productivity, and reduce waste.
- Manages IE team to create factory layouts, cycle time studies, line balance and other IE areas of focus.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve COGS goals focused on labor costs and other cost areas assigned.
- Support cross function projects and best practice alignment across global plants, including but not limited to mfg. product transfers to low cost manufacturing and supplier locations
- Supports NPI, design V&V and process V&V builds.
- Manages and oversee the maintenance and management of the manufacturing facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, address equipment breakdowns or repairs promptly, and optimize facility layout for improved workflow and productivity
- Hire and train team members to meet company QA/RA, FDA, CFDA and other requirements.
- Oversees factory improvements and expansions.
- Support Good Manufacturing Practices and quality management system in accordance with FDA regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Establish and manage department budget/headcount and develop opportunities for budget reductions.
- Manages team to build the broader spirit of spirit across the company and positive and encouraging culture within the reporting team.
- Other related duties.
About You:
- Education: BS degree in a technical field or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, including 7+ years of manufacturing management experience.
- Prior manufacturing experience in a medical device company, preferably on surgical robotics or equivalent highly complex medical devices.
- Strong verbal and written skill with the ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels in the organization.
- Excellent people and project management skills and a proven track record of managing mid-sized to large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in MRP systems, MS office and related systems.
- Experience in Medical Device Design Control processes preferred.
- Experience with sterilization processes preferred.
- Bilingual in Mandarin is preferred but not required.

Pay Transparency
The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.
California Pay Range
$190,200 - $237,800 USD
Noah Medical may offer remote, hybrid, or onsite work arrangements within the state of California depending on the specific team and/or role where applicable.
